Nuestro día empieza pronto, desayuno a las 7 horas si tenemos el primer turno! Entonces tiempo de equipo (casi despiertos!) un plenario de 3 horas con adoración, actuaciones y enseñanza, comida (45 minutos!!) trabajos prácticos, dos horas para ensayos, comida y otro plenario en la gran carpa que se ha montado en la plaza central.

Our day begins early, breakfast a 7am if we are in the early shift! Then team time, (mostly awake!) a three-hour plenary with worship, teaching, lunch break, workshops, about two hours for rehearsals, then dinner and three more hours of together n the tent they have strung up in the courtyard.

La enseñanza y alabanza han sido excelentes, con Dale Kauffman, el fundador de King’s Kids dirigiéndonos al corazón de Nuestro Padre Celestial. Le dimos una cmiseta de la Furia Roja como un regalo de despedida, y estamos intentando mantenernos humildes entre todos los holandesas que están por aquí, todavía de luto por su derrota

Teaching and worship have been excellent with Dale Kauffman, the founder of King’s Kids, leading us straight into the Father Heart of God. We gave him a Spain national football team shirt as a going away gift and are trying to stay humble in the midst of so many Dutch young people here still mourning their World Cup loss!

“The Priory” donde estamos alojados es como una burbuja europeo en el medio de África con edificios de ladrillo, y terrenos ajardinados. Pero una cosa que nos recuerda que estamos en otro mundo son los monos silvestres vagando por doquier que nos entretienen durante reuniones largas del equipo! También hemos descubierto que hay un colegio al lado de nuestras instalaciones que con tantas caras sonrientes de niños africanos como los que pronto vamos a encontrar en el tiempo de campaña que empieza en pocos días.

The Priory where we are staying is kind of a European bubble in the midst of Africa with brick buildings, and landscaped grounds. But one thing reminds us we are in Africa -  all the wild monkeys wandering around keep us quite entertained during long team meetings!! We have also discovered that there is an elementary school on the grounds next door, introducing us to the amazing bright faces of some of  African children to whom we will soon be ministering.
